EQUIPMENT

A convict Canon user, which cameras I've used from the old FTb to the new EOS 1D series, Iam usually carrying lighter bodies, like the EOS 20D, not worried about the 1.6 x crop the smaller sensor introduces.

A 17-40, a 100mm macro a 28-135mm and a 100-400 mm are also regularly used in my work, which has turned digital since the late 90.

Sigma lenses are something I've started to use since Portugal got a rightfull representative. The 10-20 mm and the 17-70 mm MACRO are some of the new lenses I trust.

As for bags there's only a name I know: Lowepro. I've a whole collection of them, from the very early and classic Lowepro Mini Trekker Classic ( the very early, without AW protection, and it still goes strong)  to the recent Micro Trekker, Stealth and Compu-Trekker. It's a kind of passion but each fits a special need when Iam photographing.

Tripods come in to brands: Gitzo and Manfrotto. Usually I mix legs from one with heads from the other, depending on what I prefer from each of the manufacturers. I also use monopods, which sometimes are all that I need for some of my photography. When Iam not bracing a tree, using a wall or some other way to help me get the shot.

I still use filters, with a polarizer and some graduated neutrals being usual accessories in my bag. I also use some esoteric filters, like double-color polarizers a.s.o if there's a reason..
